SafePlug Smart Energy (SE) products are part of the SafePlug family from 2D2C, Inc. 2D2C, Inc (www.2D2C.com) develops electrical wiring innovations for safety, energy and security. 2D2C Inc invented and patented the use of RFID tags on electrical cord plugs for accurate Demand Response events and energy monitoring. 2D2C Inc. holds a number of patents on electrical safety, energy management and public electrical outlets. 2D2C Inc manufactures its own products and markets them under its own "SafePlug" brand and other company brands. 2D2C Inc owns the electrical brand "SafePlug" as a registered trademark in the US and Canada. 2D2C Inc also licenses its technology to other companies. 2D2C Inc was founded in 1999 under the name "OFI, Inc" as a name sake for its first patented innovation: the Overload Fault Interrupter (OFI). OFI helps prevent fires ignited by overloaded appliances. During the past decade, 2D2C Inc has invented and patented additional electrical fire protection innovations and designs.
